The basics
- You choose what to post from the content you created on your collab. No need to post all of it, just choose some of your favorites.
- Choose to do a carousel of images or create a reel. We want to see your creativity and perspective.
- Under the Delivery tab in your collab, you will see links to your destination’s social media pages.
- Tag @tryshrpa and the destination. You can also tag both as collaborators.
Carousel tips
- A carousel is usually 3 or more photos or videos, and according to Instagram this boosts your post engagement over a single image. Most people find the sweet spot is 6–10.
- Choose your cover photo as the hook. Which image did you take that you absolutely love and will draw people in?
- All the images in a carousel need to have the same aspect ratio. Keep this in mind when choosing, otherwise Instagram will just crop some to match.
Reels tips
- Film vertically with a minimum of 30 FPS.
- Use a few clips together. Changing scenes can make the video more interesting.
- Filming outside Instagram will be better quality.
- Use a tripod to keep the video stable and level.
- You can add text on the video from Canva, Adobe Express, or directly from Instagram or TikTok.
Collaboration reels and music
Businesses are not always allowed to use regular, popular music. Both Meta and TikTok have music libraries for commercial use.
- If you can’t tag us or your destination, the music may be the issue. Check whether your track is on one of these lists.
- Meta: facebook.com/sound
- TikTok: TikTok Creative Center music library
- You can usually search these songs in the app to see if they are trending.
- You can also download the songs and add them to your video before uploading, if you edit in another program.
Can’t tag the destination?
Commercial-use music restrictions are the usual cause. Swap the track for one from the Meta or TikTok commercial libraries and the collaborator tag should work.
