What to Expect
Putnam County, Indiana is full of beautiful midwestern sites, especially in the fall. Putnam County offers multiple beautiful hiking trails that are dog-friendly (so long as they are on a leash) and beautiful during the fall colors. The trails featured are all moderate to easy, so anyone can enjoy them.

My name is Sam. I am a Michigander who is a work-from-home lawyer by day and avid adventurer, photographer, traveler, blogger, and dog mom by night. I love to spend all of my free time exploring Michigan and beyond with my family. My husband Garrett and myself are the proud dog parents of Dexter (German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog Mix) Alfred (Pembroke Welsh Corgi), and Lilly (Shepherd mix). We have explored 49/50 US states, everywhere around Michigan, and a few other countries. One of the main focuses of my social media, Mitten Made Pups, is dog friendly travel around the U.S.A. and Canada. With Millennials and Gen Z focusing more on travel with their pets, I find it important to show people the beautiful dog-friendly places that are accessible to them with their dogs. We particularly love places where we can road trip and experience amazing outdoor recreation, especially in our home state of Michigan. My second social media, Adventures of a Great Lakes Girl, is more focused on travel and natural landscapes anywhere in the world.
